BLANK BOY
They always left him alone
to do just as he pleased.
He built himself a little lab
and gave himself a disease.
They never told him what to think.
For himself, he could decide.
He read pornographic magazines
until his heart had died.
They never even punished him.
if he happened to be bad.
They didn’t even notice when
he stole all that they had.
They never said what to do,
and so he didn't do it.
He lay upon his little bed
whispering:
"Screw it, screw it, screw it."

cheer up emo kid!
I thought it was both funny and sad. A bit of doggerel. Did you think it was too "emo" or are you just being an asshole?
I though it was kinda emo too, and more poignantly sad than funny.

No. It really is emo. It's the plight of the rich kid.
My plight, my brother, was also your plight. When you dismiss it as merely the "plight of the rich kid", you're not just erasing me. You're erasing yourself.
Your problems are yours. Confront them. Sure, you weren't sexually abused or beaten. But your story matters. Because it is your story.
I think I had it better than probably 95% of humanity and that's pretty good. I'm not going to spend my adult years whining about my childhood. There's nothing that can be done to change it. What's done is done. When you post crap like this you're ignoring the 95% of people who had it worse than you who are going to tell you you're being a pompous self-righteous asshole.
